Horse racing data
  • Where can I find historical data for horse racing events, including each race's pre-race odds (Win & Place for each horse) and post-race payouts (Win, Place, Quinella Place)? I need data for at least 500 races, regardless of where the race was held. If you cannot find 500 races, then races in HK in the past 2-3 years are accepted.


  • Have you tried collecting newspaper form guides on 'race days', and then getting the paper the day after for the results and payouts?


  • Hi dling... I have a friend who is quite the pony lover. He has made a really awesome database analyzer of horse performances vs past races. Very slick, and great for handicapping. The reason I mention this is, he has to pay for the data that he gets. Most race data does have some price associated with it. A list like you wish would probably be about 50c to $1 per race. There might be a site online where someone has assembled a list like you desire but you will have no way to authenticate the data. A reputable horse racing information site would be the only guaranteed way to get the most accurate data. I presume accuracy would be the most important thing here, correct?   • Btw, I would like the data in Excel format. I found the data pertinent to Hong Kong, please provide data in international racing circles now. Still need at least 500 data points. Thanks.
