Shopping Opps for Gen i
Snowball, an online network for Generation i -- Web-centric young adults that grew up using the Internet -- launched its e-commerce effort with the Snowball Shopping Network.

Using a slotting model for the shopping network, Snowball said it offers three different multi-level merchant packages to companies looking to sell their products and services across different categories including apparel, books, computers, electronics, games, movies, music and pets.

Partners at launch include Barnes and Noble, EBWorld, Egghead.com, Fossil and Pac Sun, among others. Snowball claimed seven million unique visitors in September, as measured by Media Metrix.

The company says its trademarked Geni i audience ranges from 13-30 years in age, have $275 billion in disposable income and are expected to spend $3.8 billion online by 2002, according to figures from eMarketer.
